Anna was born in November 1735 in Eggenstein, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany.  Anna's father was Johann Michael Boltz and her mother was Maria Barbara Lauten.  Her paternal grandparents were Hans Michael Boltz and Anna Margaretha; her maternal grandparents were Michael Lauten and Barbara. She had two brothers and seven sisters, named John, George, Magdalena, Eva, Margretha, Anna, Elizabeth, Catherine and Anna.  She was the fifth youngest of the ten children.  She died before 1737.
