Martha L Davis 
Martha was born in January 1811 in Fluvanna County, Virginia. Martha's father was George Davis and her mother was Susanna Herndon. Her maternal grandparents were Joseph Herndon and Susanna Haislip. She was an only child. She died at the age of 94 in February 1905 in Albemarle Parish, Isle of Wight County, Virginia. She was buried in Shipp Family Cemetery, Albemarle County, Virginia.General Notes

Wills and Hiram Shipp paid the bond of $150 so that Hiram could marry Martha Davis, daughter of Susanna Davis of Fluvanna County. A letter of consent for Martha to marry was included with the bond.
