Elizabeth was born on October 18th, 1772 in Przytarnia, Bydgoszcz, Poland and her baptism took place on October 19th, 1772.  Her godfather was Stanislanthy Krapinski and her godmother was Elizabeth Dalecka.  Elizabeth's father was Stanislaus Korynta and her mother was Marianna. She had three brothers and a sister, named Stefan, Martin, Joseph and Franciszca.  She was the oldest of the five children.
