James Langston 
James was born on April 7th, 1797 in Greenville, South Carolina. James' father was Hiram Bennett Langston and his mother was Mary Brown. His paternal grandparents were Solomon Langston and Sarah Bennett; his maternal grandparents were John Brown and Sarah Weeks. He had five brothers and six sisters, named John, Henry, Matthew, William, Hiram, Sarah, Eliza, Rebecca, Mary, Emily and Henrietta. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 74 on October 18th, 1871 in LaFontaine, Wabash County, Indiana.General Notes
