Emmett Gatewood Lyon 
Emmett was born on July 10th, 1881 in Ringgold, Ohio. Emmett's father was Algernon Reynolds Lyon and his mother was Martha Ann Sawyer. His paternal grandparents were David Marion Lyon and Sarah C. Shaffer. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John, William, Newell, Maggie, Beannice and Goldia. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 89 in 1970 in Blackwell, Oklahoma. He was buried in Bayard Cemetery, southwest of Deer Creek, Oklahoma.General Notes
He was a real estate broker in Blackwell, and a farmer in early years.
