George Alford was born on November 20th, 1880.  George Alford's father was Allen McCart and his mother was Margaret Emma Dean.  His maternal grandparents were J. William Dean and Eliza Jane Smith. He had a brother named Isaac Newton.  He was the younger of the two children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Franklin, William, Gertrude and Anna Houston.
