Jefferson was born on February 1st, 1805.  Jefferson's father was Christopher Treakle and his mother was Mary Wilson.  His paternal grandparents were Greenbury Treakle and Rachel. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, Stephen, Washington, Edward, Eliza, Mariah, Elizabeth, Juliann and Lucretia.  He was the fourth youngest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 78 on November 25th, 1883 in Stark County, Illinois.
