Obituary:
HIRAM W.AMBROSE DIES IN HOSPITAL
SUCCUMBED THIS MORNING FROM ILLNESS DUE TO COMPLICATIONS.
Hiram W. Ambrose, a native of Virginia, but for years a resident of this city [Martinsburg], died at 9:30 o'clock this morning at city hospital, following an illness of complications.
Mr. Ambrose was 67 years of age and was born near Whitehall, Virginia, but moved to Martinsburg when a youth, where he has since resided. During his young life he followed farming. He is survived by his widow, formerly Miss Annie Mantz; 4 children: George L. Ambrose of Martinsburg; Earl L., Charles W. and Miss Lottie M. Ambrose; all at home on Faulkner Ave. One sister, Miss Elizabeth Ambrose. The funeral arrangements have not been completed but will be announced tomorrow.
MR. AMBROSE'S funeral
The funeral of the late Hiram Ambrose will be held from the late home, 705 Faulkner Ave., Wed. afternoon at 2 o'clock and the remains will be interred in Green Hill Cemetery; Rev. R. F. Schmucker, of the Winchester Ave. Christian Church, will officiate, assisted by Rev. John H. Ford of the Second United Brethren Church. Mr. Ambrose was a native of White Hall Va. and is survived by his widow, four children, also one sister Miss Eliza Ambrose.
