John W. Ambrose 
John was born on June 24th, 1832 in Frederick County, Virginia.1 John's father was Lewis Ambrose and his mother was Elizabeth Hawkins. His paternal grandparents were John Bell Ambrose Sr and Elizabeth "Betsy" Crum. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Christian, Henry, Francis, Hiram, Lewis, Sarah, Lucy and Eliza. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 69 on January 31st, 1902.1 -
