David Ambrose 
David was born about 1795 in Virginia.1 David's father was Mathias Ambrose and his mother was Rosanna Clover. His paternal grandfather was William Henry Ambrose and his paternal grandmother is Sarah; his maternal grandparents were Philip A Clover and Elizabeth. He had six brothers and seven sisters, named Ticey, John, Henry, William, George, Joseph, Margaret, Martha, Polly, Rosanna, Hannah, Susannah and Lucy. He was the oldest of the fourteen children. He died after 1860 in Illinois.Death Notes
Supposedly, the deed executed by Ticey AMBROSE in 1846 says "David and Mathias are deceased". Yet David appears on the census in Morgan Co. in 1850, in court records in 1851, and with his son, Archibald M. in Illinois in 1860.
