Mary Elizabeth Ambrose 
Mary was born on May 19th, 1839 in Morgan County, Virginia. Mary's father was Nicholas T. Ambrose and her mother was Elizabeth Ann "Bethany" O'Brien. Her paternal grandparents were Daniel Ambrose and Sophia Marquart. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named John, Peter, James, Mathias, Jacob, William, George, Anna and F.. She was the second oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 78 on October 8th, 1917 in Morgan County, West Virginia. She was buried in Greenway Cemetery, Berkeley Springs, West Virginia.-
