Lois was born on August 1st, 1924 in Ohio. Lois' father was Paul Dolphin and her mother was Ruth Izora Cadwallader. Her maternal grandparents were Ira Cadwallader and Nancy Ann Wilkin. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Richard, Paul, Roger, Ronald, Virginia, Shirley and Ruth. She is the third oldest of the eight children.General Notes
