Daniel Herndon

Daniel was born in 1812 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. Daniel's father was Hearndon and his mother was Elizabeth Long. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Herndon and Polly Elliott. He had three brothers and four sisters, named James, Jones, William, Elizabeth, Polly, Jane and Nancy. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Oliver, Joseph, Elliott, John and Daughter.
