John Langston

John was born in 1799 in Laurens County, South Carolina. John's father was Hiram Bennett Langston and his mother was Mary Brown. His paternal grandparents were Solomon Langston and Sarah Bennett; his maternal grandparents were John Brown and Sarah Weeks. He had five brothers and six sisters, named James, Henry, Matthew, William, Hiram, Sarah, Eliza, Rebecca, Mary, Emily and Henrietta. He was the second oldest of the twelve children. He died before 1855 in Kansas.
