Joseph S Medearis 
Joseph was born on December 7th, 1853 in Stark County, Illinois. Joseph's father was John Wesley Medaris and his mother was Sirrelda Barnett. His paternal grandparents were John (Redd) Redmond Medaris and Rachel Beezley. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Martin, William, Alexander, James, Franklin, Lowell, Eliza, Ann, Fannie and Sadie. He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 79 in June 1933 in Incernny, Dawson County, Nebraska.General Notes
Joseph and his two brothers James and Franklin moved first to Worth Missouri, where his second son Orange was born. Then they moved to Nebraska.
