Peter Franklin Ridings 
Peter was born on July 15th, 1840 in Hollowtown, Clay twp, Highland County, Ohio. Peter's father was Samuel Mathias Ridings and his mother was Catherine Ambrose. His paternal grandparents were Dr. Peter Joseph Ridings and Mary Brotherton; his maternal grandparents were Rev. William Hanby Ambrose and Susanna B. Crum. He had nine brothers and a sister, named William, George, Christian, John, Louis, Samuel, Jacob, Joseph, James and Mary. He was the third oldest of the eleven children. He died due to Killed in the Civil war. at the age of 21 on June 2nd, 1862 in Petersburg, Dunwiddie County, Virginia.1 Death Notes
