John Hinton Travis 
John was born on September 17th, 1815 in Cooksville, Overton County, Tennessee. John's father was Jeremiah Travis and his mother was Margaret Peake. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Travis and Hannah Hutchins; his maternal grandparents were David Peak and Jane Martin. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Martin, David, Jeremiah, Susanna, Annie, Polly and Anna. He died at the age of 86 on July 3rd, 1902 in Indian Grove, Mclean County, Illinois.General Notes
