Newton Ambrose

Newton was born on June 6th, 1819 in Urbana, Champaign County, Ohio.¹   Newton's father was Frederick Ambrose and his mother was Jane "Jennie" Tanner.  His paternal grandfather was William Henry Ambrose and his paternal grandmother is Sarah. He had two brothers and a sister, named Jacob, Peter and Margaret.  He was the second youngest of the four children. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Gatch, John, James, Elizabeth, Susan and Rebecca.  He died at the age of 65 in 1884.²
