George Rizer Barnes 
George was born on October 20th, 1816.1 George's father was Rezin Barnes and his mother was Catherine Rizer. His maternal grandparents were George W. Rizer and Margaret "Peggy" Ambrose. He had five brothers and two sisters, named James, Benjamin, Rezin, William, Jacob, Rebecca and Sophia. He was the oldest of the eight children.-
