James Madison McKee 
James was born on September 15th, 1837 in Napoleon, Ripley County, Indiana. James' father was Samuel McKee and his mother was Emily Langston. His paternal grandparents were David McKee and Lydia Billings; his maternal grandparents were Hiram Bennett Langston and Mary Brown. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Homer, Charles, Helen, Mary and Lydia. He was the oldest of the six children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named David, George, Samuel and Emily. He died at the age of 66 on August 26th, 1904 in Ojai, Ventura County, California.General Notes
