Hazel was born about 1918.  Hazel's father was John Tolle and her mother was Meta Reese.  Her paternal grandparents were Herman Tolle and Caroline; her maternal grandparents were Carl Reese and Bormei (Minnie). She had six brothers and a sister, named Lester, Mert, Earl, Bud, Charlie, Vernon and Ira.
