William Herndon

William was born on June 15th, 1816 in Franklin County, Indiana. William's father was Wesley Herndon and his mother was Esther Halberstadt. His paternal grandparents were William Herndon and Mary Bohannon. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Anthony, Elijah, Elizabeth, Amanda, Mary, Sarah, Jane and Mellison. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 78 on March 17th, 1895 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
