Minnie was born in April 1885 in Kansas.  Minnie's father was Carl Reese and her mother was Bormei (Minnie). She had five brothers and three sisters, named William, August, John, Edward, Charles, Emma, Meta and Anna.  She was the third youngest of the nine children.
