Supposedly, the deed executed by Ticey AMBROSE in 1846 says "David and Mathias are deceased". Yet David appears on the census in Morgan Co. in 1850, in court records in 1851, and with his son, Archibald M. in Illinois in 1860.

Susanna YOST's obituary appears in the July 16, 1847 Western Christian Advocate, and her parents were listed as Matthias and Rosanna Ambrose.
