Mathias Ambrose

Mathias was born in 1762 in Frederick County, Maryland.  Mathias' father was William Henry Ambrose and his mother is Sarah. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named William, Peter, Henry, Philip, John, Frederick, Jacob, Daniel, Solomon, Peggy and Catherine.  He was the oldest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 80 on March 17th, 1842 in Berkeley Springs, Morgan County, West Virginia.¹
