Daniel Ambrose 
Daniel was born about 1846 in Morgan County, Virginia.1 Daniel's father was Mathias D. Ambrose and his mother was Anna M. (Nancy) Vanorsdall. His paternal grandparents were Daniel Ambrose and Sophia Marquart. He had a brother and three sisters, named John, Fannie, Catherine and Annie. He was the oldest of the five children. He died before 1900.-
