Sarah Frances "Fannie" Ambrose 
Sarah, known as Fannie, was born about 1847 in Morgan County, Virginia. Fannie's father was Mathias D. Ambrose and her mother was Anna M. (Nancy) Vanorsdall. Her paternal grandparents were Daniel Ambrose and Sophia Marquart. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Daniel, John, Catherine and Annie. She was the second oldest of the five children.-
