Mathias D. Ambrose

Mathias was born in May 1819 in Morgan County, Virginia.¹   Mathias' father was Daniel Ambrose and his mother was Sophia Marquart.  His paternal grandfather was William Henry Ambrose and his paternal grandmother is Sarah. He had five brothers and a sister, named Ambrose, Ambrose, Nelson, Nicholas, William and Susan.  He was the youngest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Jacob, Peter, Catherine and Ambrose.  He died at the age of 86 in 1905 in Great Cacapon, Morgan County, West Virginia.
