Several IGI references say he was born in Maryland; but none list parents for him, so this may not be correct. "Graveyards of Morgan County" indicate his birthdate was 1740, but state the information is from "other sources". His tombstone has not been found.

Margaret "Peggy" Ambrose
Margaret, known as Peggy, was born on March 30th, 1766 in Frederick County, Maryland.5 She died before 1843 in West Virginia.4
Catherine Ambrose
Catherine was born on May 30th, 1768 in Maryland.
Rev. William Hanby Ambrose
William was born on November 30th, 1770 in Maryland or Berkeley Springs, West Virginia.6 He died at the age of 79 on August 23rd, 1850 in Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio. He was buried in Ambrose Cemetery, Newmarket Twp, Highland County, Ohio.7 7

Daniel was born in 1785 in Berkeley County, Virginia.2 He died about 1865. He was buried in Ambrose Chapel Cemetery, south of Berkeley Springs, Morgan County, West Virginia.2
Solomon Ambrose
Solomon was born in 1787 in Berkeley County, Virginia.13 He died at the age of 69 in January 1856 in Chillicothe, Ross County, Ohio.13
