F. C. Ambrose

F. was born about 1848 in Morgan County, Virginia.¹ F.'s father was Nicholas T. Ambrose and her mother was Elizabeth Ann "Bethany" O'Brien. Her paternal grandparents were Daniel Ambrose and Sophia Marquart. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named John, Peter, James, Mathias, Jacob, William, George, Mary and Anna. She was the fifth oldest of the ten children.
