John Daniel Ambrose 
John was born on November 2nd, 1836 in Bath Twp, Morgan County, Virginia. John's father was Nicholas T. Ambrose and his mother was Elizabeth Ann "Bethany" O'Brien. His paternal grandparents were Daniel Ambrose and Sophia Marquart. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Peter, James, Mathias, Jacob, William, George, Mary, Anna and F.. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 78 on January 15th, 1915 in Berkeley Springs, Morgan County, West Virginia.-
