James Thomas Ambrose

James was born in October 1853 in Morgan County, Virginia.¹ James' father was Nicholas T. Ambrose and his mother was Elizabeth Ann "Bethany" O'Brien. His paternal grandparents were Daniel Ambrose and Sophia Marquart. He had six brothers and three sisters, named John, Peter, Mathias, Jacob, William, George, Mary, Anna and F.. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 82 in 1935.
