Bartholomew Van Valkenburgh (Bartley) 
Bartholomew was born on July 12th, 1799 and his christening took place on September 15th, 1799 in Kinderhook, Columbia County, New York. Bartholomew's father was Bartholomeus Van Valkenburgh and his mother was Catherine Pruyn. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Van Valkenburgh and Cathalyntie Leggett; his maternal grandparents were Harmon Pruyn and Jannetje Goes. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Jacob, Harman, Francis, William, Elizabeth, Jannetje, Bata, Maria, Catherine and Lydia. He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Jacob and Catlinje. He died at the age of 75 on October 1st, 1874 in Prattsburg, Steuben County, New York.General Notes
