William Moore Van Valkenburgh 
William was born on January 6th, 1810 in Kinderhook, Columbia County, New York and his christening took place on February 4th, 1810 in Dutch Reformed Church, Kinderhook, Columbia County, New York. William's father was Bartholomeus Van Valkenburgh and his mother was Catherine Pruyn. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Van Valkenburgh and Cathalyntie Leggett; his maternal grandparents were Harmon Pruyn and Jannetje Goes. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Jacob, Harman, Bartholomew, Francis, Elizabeth, Jannetje, Bata, Maria, Catherine and Lydia. He was the youngest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Jacob and Catlinje. He died at the age of 56 on September 15th, 1866 in St. Louis, Missouri.
