Francis Van Valkenburgh

Francis was born on July 12th, 1803 and his christening took place on August 8th, 1803 in Dutch Reformed Church, Kinderhook, Columbia County, New York. Francis' father was Bartholomeus Van Valkenburgh and his mother was Catherine Pruyn. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Van Valkenburgh and Cathalyntie Leggett; his maternal grandparents were Harmon Pruyn and Jannetje Goes. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Jacob, Harman, Bartholomew, William, Elizabeth, Jannetje, Bata, Maria, Catherine and Lydia. He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Jacob and Catlinje.
