Jacob D. Ambrose

Jacob was born on September 22nd, 1822 in Morgan County, West Virginia.¹   Jacob's father was Daniel Ambrose and his mother was Anna Nancy Rizer.  His paternal grandfather was William Henry Ambrose and his paternal grandmother is Sarah; his maternal grandparents were Rev. Mathias G. Rizer and Mary Michael. He had a brother and two sisters, named Peter, Catherine and Ambrose.  He was the oldest of the four children. He had six half-brothers and a half-sister, named Ambrose, Ambrose, Nelson, Nicholas, William, Mathias and Susan.  He died at the age of 80 on April 28th, 1903.¹
