Agnes was born in 1563 and her christening took place on August 1st, 1563 in Wivelscombe, Somersetshire, England.  Agnes' father was Robert Bennett and her mother was Elizabeth Edney.  Her paternal grandparents were John Bennett and Margery. She had nine brothers and four sisters, named John, John, Johan, Robert, William, Richard, Christopher, Edward, Thomas, Margery, Elizabeth, Dorothy and Eleanor.  She was the fourth oldest of the fourteen children.
