Christopher was born in 1576 and his christening took place on May 6th, 1576 in Wivelscombe, Somersetshire, England.  Christopher's father was Robert Bennett and his mother was Elizabeth Edney.  His paternal grandparents were John Bennett and Margery. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named John, John, Johan, Robert, William, Richard, Edward, Thomas, Margery, Elizabeth, Agnes, Dorothy and Eleanor.  He was the third youngest of the fourteen children.
