Margery was born in 1560 and her christening took place on March 25th, 1560 in Wivelscombe, Somersetshire, England.  Margery's father was Robert Bennett and her mother was Elizabeth Edney.  Her paternal grandparents were John Bennett and Margery. She had nine brothers and four sisters, named John, John, Johan, Robert, William, Richard, Christopher, Edward, Thomas, Elizabeth, Agnes, Dorothy and Eleanor.  She was the oldest of the fourteen children.
