Robert was born in 1571 and his christening took place on April 27th, 1571 in Wivelscombe, Somersetshire, England.  Robert's father was Robert Bennett and his mother was Elizabeth Edney.  His paternal grandparents were John Bennett and Margery. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named John, John, Johan, William, Richard, Christopher, Edward, Thomas, Margery, Elizabeth, Agnes, Dorothy and Eleanor.  He was the sixth youngest of the fourteen children.  He died at the age of 52 in 1623.  He was buried on July 8th, 1568.
