Dorothy was born in 1564 and her christening took place on August 29th, 1564 in Wivelscombe, Somersetshire, England.  Dorothy's father was Robert Bennett and her mother was Elizabeth Edney.  Her paternal grandparents were John Bennett and Margery. She had nine brothers and four sisters, named John, John, Johan, Robert, William, Richard, Christopher, Edward, Thomas, Margery, Elizabeth, Agnes and Eleanor.  She was the fifth oldest of the fourteen children.  She died after 1603.
